Lasster Equipment Company: New John Deere Products for 2012
Wednesday, March 28th, 2012
Matt Murphy & Tal Ethridge of Lasseter Equipment Group talk about two products for the upcoming crop year: the new John Deere Twin Row Planter & 7760 Round Module Cotton Picker.
Matt Murphy: Good morning. I'm Matt Murphy with Lasseter Implement Company in Tifton, GA.
Tal Etheridge: Good morning. I'm Tal Etheridge with Lasseter Tractor in Moultrie, GA.
Matt: We'd like to talk with you about a couple exciting product that we have released for 2012. One of those being that John Deere has released a new twin row planter. The twin row planter right now is currently being built with limited specifications. It'll only be available in a six‑row wide model. We had some producers running prototype models this year during the planting season with peanuts and have been real pleased and a lot of positive feedback and really excited and looking forward to seeing the product come on the market.
Tal: Availability on these planters is looking like it will be ready for the spring to plant some twin‑row corn but then the majority of twin‑row peanuts will be what they'll be used on.
Matt: We'd also like to talk about the huge popularity of our new 7760 Round Module Cotton Picker. The efficiency that this picker has brought to the field has left our competition behind.
Tal: This picker has really changed the face of cotton harvesting. It allows nonstop cotton harvesting, cuts labor cost back extreme and producers are able to do a lot more with less and really, really excited about the future of cotton harvesting.
Matt: It's been really exciting to see the gins and how they're handling the round modules too. There's all kind of intuitive ideas that's come out and there are several ways to handle these round modules. We handle the Frontier Round Module Handler along with the AMAD AS Round Module Handler. Always along with cotton harvesting, we'd like to talk about our John Deere Rotary Cutters, our Rhino Stalk Shredders, and our D&L Stalk Pullers, along with the AMAD AS Stalk Pullers. So if you're interested in these products, please stop by and see us at one of our seven locations throughout Georgia.
We'd also like to let you know we can be found on the web at lassetereq.com and always remember Lasseter provides extended service hours through the harvest time with seven days a week parts and service availability. So please stop by and give us a call. And remember, Lasseter Equipment, above and beyond, always. Thank you.
