Better Pay for Georgia Beef Producers Due to Smaller Texas Herds

Georgia cattle farmers soon should see higher prices for their beef cattle due to a drought in Texas that’s contributing to a shortage of cattle.

While an uptick in prices is good, Georgia cattle farmers don’t expect to see record profits. The increased prices should just cover the rising costs they’ve been paying to raise cattle over the past few years.
