Annual Poultry Show Attracts Crowd at Fairgrounds

There was a big crowd for the weekend's eighth annual Chattahoochee Valley Poultry Association show and sale at the Coweta County Fairgrounds south of Newnan.

Estimates were that some 2,200 birds were on display at the show which ran Saturday, and again Sunday until mid-day.

Poultry enthusiasts from around the country came for the show. Added to the weekend events this year were a swap meet where vendors could sell everything from poultry-related items to arts and crafts, and a car and tractor show.
