USDA Raises Guaranteed Loan Limit to $1.2 Million
Sunday, October 23rd, 2011
USDA's Farm Service Agency (FSA) has announced that the loan limit for the Guaranteed Loan Program has been increased to just over $1.2 million.
Steve Maurer, State Executive Director for the Ohio Farm Service Agency says the announcement is a good reminder that FSA loan programs are there for producers.
"That FSA is still out there and can either make direct loans if we have the appropriation or if we have the authority a direct loan through your bank or lending institution," Maurer said. "We need to remind people that we are still a player in this."
Maurer reminds producers that FSA guaranteed loans allow lenders to provide ag credit to farmers who do not meet the lender's normal criteria.
