Central Monitoring Offers Farmers Protection Against Copper Theft

Press Release by Issuing Company

Friday, May 6th, 2011

The rising prices, coupled with the joblessness caused by the recession, have again made copper recycling attractive to thieves.

A rash of on-farm Copper wire thefts has been reported since November.  The Primary target is the copper wiring on single pivot irrigation systems. This is a serious problem for farmers because the systems are severely damaged when the theft occurs and repairs often cost several thousand dollars.

The Touch-Me-Not Irrigation wireless monitoring system is supplied fitted in a robust enclosure that is waterproof for operation outdoors. The system requires no tuning or ongoing maintenance. The Touch-Me-Not Irrigation Alarm operates from 12V DC or optional solar power supply.

A GSM dialer will send an SMS text alert to alert the farmer or maintenance person of the situation. The GSM dialer is supplied with a high gain antenna to ensure healthy mobile phone signal in weak signal areas. The option to have the alert sent to the Central Station to monitor and notify the farmer is also available and recommended.

Please Call Central Monitoring @ 229-431-0800 if you would like to have the Touch-Me-Not Irrigation Alarm Installed on you Irrigation system or if you would like more information.
