Press Release by Issuing Company

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

A worker falls nearly 40 feet at a Baker County peanut plant. Randall Sadler, an independent contractor, was removing a pipe from the Top Nut Peanut Plant when he lost his balance and fell off a bucket elevator on the outside of the building.

Anthony Roberts was working just above Randall Sadler who fell off the elevator around 2:30 Saturday afternoon.

"We were taking the pipe down," said Roberts. "It's a lot of force. We had two bolts left and before the bolt next to the last was cut into two, the whole pipe sling shot away from the elevator about three to four feet pulling him away from the ladder."
