The 2010 Republican runoff for governor that ends Tuesday has already earned a spot in Georgia political history as one of the most bitter contests on record.

The Nathan Deal-Karen Handel feud continued this weekend with a live TV debate on Channel 2 Action News — an early Saturday morning confrontation that competed, appropriately, with cartoon programming on other networks.

Falling anvils and explosions abounded.
