Reinke to Announce Additional Investment to Sunbelt Ag Expo During Field Day
Thursday, July 12th, 2012
Reinke Manufacturing Company will announce another major contribution to ongoing research efforts at the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition as part of Thursday’s annual Ag Expo Field Day.
Reinke, which has partnered with the expo for more than 30 years, will announce the donation after lunch, when Southeast Territory Manager Mike Mills will describe the contribution.
Sunbelt Ag Expo Executive Director Chip Blalock expressed gratitude about Reinke’s continued investment in irrigation research at the expo.
“We are proud of our partnership with Reinke Manufacturing,” Blalock said, “and are humbled by their investment in our research facility, where we work together to find ways to enhance the farmers’ bottom line through irrigation and become even better stewards of water.”
In its 35th year, the annual October expo has grown to attract more than 100,000 visitors and 1,200 exhibitors from across the country to Moultrie. Field Day offers a preview of the fall expo and the research taking place on the 600-acre Darrell Williams Research Farm. This week’s Field Day kicks off at Spence Field on Thursday morning with a breakfast reception featuring Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black and Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall.
Last year, Reinke announced at Field Day that the company would donate an eight-tower center pivot irrigation system to the expo’s research farm.
“Reinke looks forward to continuing our relationship with Sunbelt Expo and making investments toward agricultural growth in the Southeast for years to come,” Reinke President Chris Roth said at last year’s announcement.
