Meat & Poultry HACCP Workshops

This year's fall hazard analysis and critical control point trainings for the meat and poultry industry will be held in Athens, Ga. The HACCP certification course is slated for September 28-30. The Advanced HACCP training program follows on October 12-13

Shade Gardening Symposium

A Shade Gardening Symposium will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. onSaturday, September 25 at the Carroll County Ag Center in Carrollton, Ga. The keynote speaker is HGTV host, author and lecturer, Erica Glasener. Advanced registration ($10) is required for this event. Registration begins August 2.

Georgia Grazing School

University of Georgia Cooperative Extension will host its annual grazing school on September 21-22 in Perry, Ga. This two-day workshop will focus on soil fertility, forage crop establishment, plant growth, animal nutrient requirements, and management-intensive grazing.
